Admissions

For Graduate Certificate and Master's degrees, applicants must submit a 250-word statement that briefly describes their background and that explains their goals for entering this degree program.

For Masters degrees, applicants must provide the names and contact information for two individuals who will be writing letters of recommendation.

Application Deadline
There is a rolling deadline for applications. To ensure that your graduate program will receive all required materials in time for review, submit your application at least two weeks before the beginning of the semester.

The following documents are needed:

• Curriculum vitae or resume.
• Personal statement discussing why you want your graduate degree including your career goals.
• Three professional references that includes name and contact information (e-mail address) as well as how many years you have known the individual and in what circumstances.

Complete applications received after the recommended deadline will be handled in the final review of applications (subject to program capacity).

The online application will prompt you for a brief personal statement and will ask you to upload a copy of current teaching license or statement of eligibility, if applicable for your program.

The following additional documents are required to the MS in Nursing application:

• Valid, unencumbered RN license (to be submitted with application).
• Personal statement describing professional career goals as an advanced practice nurse prepared in the area of leadership/administration or education.
• Two professional references, one of which must be from someone familiar with student’s academic work.
• CV or Resume.
• Two years of experience as an RN (preferred) or currently working as an RN.
• Completion of a federal criminal background check completed within the previous 12 months.

To complete the application for Program Leadership and Evaluation Graduate Certificate the following are needed:

• A personal statement of educational goals.
• Three letters of recommendation:  Please note that the application form provides space for you to list those who will be writing letters of recommendation-a form will automatically be sent to those individuals.
• Documentation of undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or better. Please have your transcripts sent to:

To complete the Modern World History Graduate Certificate application the following are needed:

• A personal statement of educational goals.

• A personal statement that tells us about you and what draws you the field of counseling.
• GRE scores

To complete the application for Master of Interdisciplinary the following are needed:

• Three letters of recommendation. Please note that the application form provides space for you to list those who will be writing letters of recommendation; a form will automatically be sent to those individuals. You will need to include your letter writers' e-mails.
• A statement of personal and educational objectives.  Your statement should cover-Why you wish to study in the MIS program?  What are your objectives in the MIS program?  Indicate major and minor areas of interest for your coursework in the MIS program. What strengths and weaknesses do you bring to this kind of graduate study?  Students with less than a 3.0 should also explain relevant life and work experiences, extenuating circumstances, and academic strengths in this admissions essay.
• Resume or Curriculum Vitae
• Any graduate admission exam scores.
• Conversation with the MIS Director. Once the complete application has been received, the MIS director will contact you to schedule a conversation, either in-person or by telephone, at your convenience. You may also contact us at any time with questions or to schedule a meeting
