Order a Transcript

The process for getting your transcript is different depending on whether you want an unofficial transcript or an official transcript. Find out how to get your transcript and what your options are for having it delivered to you.

Order your Official Transcript:

• Current Student
• Former Student
• High School Dual Credit/ACP Students
• Third Party Requests On Behalf of the Student
• Request a mailed transcript with an Attachment (CAS)

Order your official transcript

Note that a degree awarded won’t be posted to your transcript until approximately three weeks after the end of the semester. If you order a transcript before then, be sure to specify that the transcript should be held until your degree appears.

How to order your transcript

It’s easy to request a transcript online if:

• You’re a current or recently enrolled student
• You attended IU in 1965 or later

You should order using our online/signature request system instead if:

• You attended IU before 1965
• You have forms or documents that must be attached to your transcript
• You need a transcript faxed to you or to a third party
• You are a high school student enrolled through the Advanced College Project only
• You are requesting a transcript for someone else
• You would prefer not to order online

Delivery options

You have several options for transcript delivery. Note that some records may require a one-time validation before a transcript can be submitted. This can take up to one business day to finalize.
